Digitalización del Herbario de D. Vicente Latorre y Pérez en el I.E.S. Padre Luis Coloma de Jerez de la Frontera

RESUMEN
En este artículo se pretende desglosar el proceso de digitalización del Herbario realizado por D. Vicente Latorre y Pérez entre 1874 y 1882, que se encuentra en el I.E.S. Padre Luis Coloma de Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz, España). En un primer paso, se presentó el proyecto a la dirección y al museo del centro. Una vez fue aprobado, se entregó un informe inicial del trabajo que se llevaría a cabo y se firmaron los documentos de propiedad de información correspondientes.
El trabajo se inició a partir del cuaderno de campo del autor y con esta información se creó una base de datos con el contenido de las etiquetas. Una vez creada la base de datos se procedió a la toma de imágenes in situ de los distintos pliegos del herbario. Los datos y las imágenes tomadas fueron procesados y preparados para la creación de una página web (http://www.bioscripts.net/coloma/), la cual se completó con información procedente de otras bases de datos. Finalmente se realizó un informe con el contenido detallado del herbario y se grabaron dos copias de las fotografías originales, una se entregó al I.E.S. Padre Luis Coloma de Jerez de la Frontera y la otra fue guardada por Bioscripts.
ABSTRACT
On this paper it is explained the digitizing process of Vicente Latorre y Pérez Herbarium, 1874-1882, I.E.S. Padre Luis Coloma from Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz, Spain), which is dated from the beginning of 1875 onwards. After the initial agreement with the owners of this herbarium, we proceeded to draw up guidelines for a proper indexing and photographing of this work.
Thus, we collected the information from one of the bibliographic notes to make a primary database. This field notebook, which was scanned and converted to txt files by staff of the institution, saved to us a lot of work because it was a compilation of all the labels of the herbarium. This file was processed to make the database. Later we proceeded to create a small script web linked to a MySQL database to edit the added data and make corrections during the digitizing process. In this process, six photographs were obtained: one of them for a complete sheet unlabeled, three for important details to identify the specimen and one more picture on the front and back side of the label.
Finally, we collected all the information, we took notes of irregularities and created a website where everyone can see all the pictures, labels and information about each specimen, along with the possibility to find out some information from the database of Flora Iberica. Furthermore, we proceeded to carry out a design adapted to smartphones and tablets where everyone can get access over a thousand sheets that comprise this herbarium through their own computer, smartphone or tablet.
