En la presente monografía se da cuenta del inventario de los briozoos marinos actuales encontrados hasta la fecha en aguas de Galicia. Para su realización se han consultado las fuentes bibliográficas disponibles y se ha revisado material recolectado en nuestras aguas y conservado en diversos Museos. Se ha revisado además gran cantidad de material recolec- tado en fechas recientes y que permanecía sin estudiar y se han incluido diversos datos que permanecían inéditos. El conjunto de señalizaciones realizadas hasta la fecha permiten situar el inventario de los briozoos de Galicia en 284 especies, repartidas en 70 familias y 146 géne- ros, a las que es preciso añadir otras cuatro especies que hemos incluido con ciertas reservas. Esto sitúa a Galicia como la zona de la península Ibérica con mayor diversidad briozoólogica. This monograph reports on the inventory of living marine bryozoans found to date in Galician waters. The available bibliographic sources have been consulted and material co- llected in our waters and preserved in various museums has been revised. In addition, a large amount of material recently collected that remained unstudied has been revised, and various data that remained unpublished have been included. The set of records carried out to date allow us to place the inventory of Galician bryozoans at 284 species, divided into 70 families and 146 genera, to which it is necessary to add another four species that we have included with certain reservations. This places Galicia as the area of the Iberian Peninsula with the greatest bryozoological diversity. The proportion of species of the three orders of bryozoans in Galicia shows that the majority are Cheilostomatida (231 species, 81.33%), followed by Cyclostomatida (29 species, 10.21%) and Ctenostomatida (24 species, 8.45%).
